Public Media Company recently worked with the leadership of WYPR, the NPR news and information station in Baltimore, Maryland to secure a new home for  WTMD, the Baltimore music discovery station.  In 2020, the license holder of WTMD, Townson University,  decided to put the station up for sale and Public Media Company stepped in to find WTMD a new home in public media. The combined organization of WYPR and WTMD will ensure ongoing music and cultural programming for the residents of Baltimore, leveraging the resources of both staffs to expand local news and cultural programming across the community.
